today the report on its January 2013 visit to
the F-type High-Security Closed Prison on the island of Imralı in Turkey,

In the course of the visit, the CPTís delegation examined the conditions under which Abdullah ÷calan and the five other inmates were being held in the establishment. It reviewed the measures taken by the Turkish authorities in the light of the recommendations made by the Committee after its previous visit to the prison (in January 2010), in particular as regards communal activities offered to the prisoners and the application in practice of the prisonersí right to receive visits from relatives and lawyers.
