Council of Europe anti-torture Committee publishes the
Moldovan Government's response to the report on the 2011 visit
Strasbourg, 28.08.2012 – The Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention
of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) has published
today the response of the Government of the
Republic of Moldova to the report on the CPT's most recent visit to that
country, in June 2011. It has been made public following the request by the
Moldovan Government that visit reports and responses be published
automatically*. In their response, the Moldovan authorities provide information
on steps taken or envisaged to implement the recommendations made in the CPT’s
report on the June 2011 visit. The Committee's report was published in January
2012. The response of the Moldovan Government
is available in French and in the State language on the Committee’s website:
http://www.cpt.coe.int.
* The Moldovan Government reserved the right, in certain cases, to oppose or
delay a publication.
