Greece: Council of
Europe anti-torture Committee makes a public statement
Strasbourg, 15.03.2011 - The Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention
of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) today issued
a public statement concerning Greece.
The CPT's public statement is made under Article 10, paragraph 2, of the
European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading
Treatment or Punishment.
This is the sixth time the CPT has made a public statement since it was set
up in 1989.
